(More customer reviews)I am the owner of Anne Parsons Interiors; (anneparsonsinteriors . com), and I ordered this shelf for a client thinking it might be the same quality as the one I saw from another retailer only for a lower cost thereby saving my client and allowing them free shipping. Number one rule in design...you get what you pay for! This product was total crap. The screws ran right through the "wood" and the client actually refused it. So, I wound up returning it and purchasing from the other retailer. Hassle. But all is good now for my client.
Amazon was great at resolving the problem.

Parts aren't labeled or numbered, but easy enough to figure out. Otherwise, I'd give it five stars.

(More customer reviews)This was delivered in one day. Good Condition. Picture instructions easy to follow.
Wasn't a wood stud where it needed to be installed. I tried using supplied drywall anchors and screws. The plastic anchors messed up using an electric drill and screws were to large.
I had the common problem of creating a rounded out hole to big for the anchors.(stuff happens!) So,I checked my surplus hardware stash and found two metal drywall anchors with the spring loaded wing-nuts that lockup against the inside of the drywall. These are the best for any weight bearing install.
I didn't rate the shelf system 5 stars because of the supplied anchors & screws.
The shelf system was great and goodlooking. A very sturdy shelf holds the cable box and above on the next shelf is my blu-ray player. Adjusting the shelves was easy. I really liked being able to arrange all cables neatly through cableways on each side of the base and behind the shelf holders. This made a nice clean setup. Very pleased with the final results.
I experienced no instability in any of the shelves as I read in some review. This my be because of the use of the supplied anchoring hardware. Before install, go to the hardware store and get better hardware for the drywall. In my opinion, the metal wing-nut toggle bolt type are the best for load bearing shelving.

Copley Twin Mates Bed and Bookcase Headboard in Natural Maple Review

(More customer reviews)I was really looking forward to getting this bed for my 4 year old daughter to replace the full size bed with a lumpy mattress that took up a third of her room. I was given a delivery day and I stayed home to wait for it. When I checked the tracking number on that day it said that the item was damaged in transit and shipped back to sender, so it didn't even make it to my house. I called the store and asked them to ship it again right away and to make sure they package it well so this doesn't happen again. The headboard comes separately and was fine, I assembled it with a friend in about an hour. When the box finally made it to my house the packaging was completely torn to the point where all the boards could just slide out since there was no bottom. Thankfully there was no serious damage and no parts were missing. You definitely need two people for assembly and it took us 2 and a half hours to assemble and set up the bet. I loved the final look with the gorgeous sheets and comforter. The drawers are great and I fit a lot of clothes in them! The head board looks beautiful with books and soft toys, and the color is just as pictured. The bed is sturdy and though I do not allow my daughter to jump on it, I can lay down comfortably next to her to read a book at bedtime. Great buy and the best price I found for this item was at Amazon.

Only complaint is that the wheels are really cheap, never allowed the unit to rotate well, and collapsed after a few months because we put a lot of heavy books in it. We replaced the wheels with silicone skateboard wheels and now it looks and works really well.

(More customer reviews)I bought this media tower from Stacks and Stacks, for about 140 shipped. Definitely one of the more affordable designs to hold a fairly large media collection.
The look of the product is great, as long as you fill it full of DVDs. Leaving this tower empty will expose the cheap-looking backing to any guests. I have read from other reviews on other sites that the shelves bowed under the weight of DVDs, but during assembly, I noticed an optional step to prevent bowing, and it works fine. The shelves are very thin, but for holding up DVDs, I've had no problems so far. Overall the tower is not as sturdy as I'd hoped, but for the purpose of holding DVDs, it's fine. The tower takes up very little room and hugs the wall; it is very compact and to the point.
One small problem though is the side edging strips: they overhang and block the very last DVD on each side, I might just end up putting empty cases on each end to make sure I don't "lose" any of my DVDs.
So, to sum it up:
Pros:
-Fairly affordable for the storage capacity
-Sleek, tall, wall-hugging design takes up very little excess space
-Comes with straps to attach to wall (If you're in an "earthquake zone" as the instructions suggest)
-The black model looks nice, fits almost any decor (not sure how the oak or other finishes would look)
Cons:
-Overall not as sturdy as many would like, though this is not much of a problem if the instructions are followed and shelves are "locked in"
-Side overhangs block off about an inch of shelf space

Stacking Wire Storage Cubes - Set of 4 in Silver Review

(More customer reviews)I have had sets of these wire bins by Neu Home for over 15 years. You can take them apart, place elsewhere, stack higher, they are extremely versatile & also VERY strong. I have bins on top of these that hold 30 pounds of items that I use every day in my business. The cubes don't shake, bend or show any signs of use. They have really been put to the test of time & abuse by me & I love them. I actually bought them as an inexpensive form of table but I also use the bins for bookcases & my cats like to sleep in them. I'm back on Amazon buying some more to use as my business expands. I highly recommend these. They probably would be great for college dorms, your child's storage needs, kitchen clutter cleanup (where to put the blender, the waffle maker, the juicer when not in use) etc. They are very easy to put together & take apart & lie flat when stored.

Bellagio-Italia CD/DVD Storage Binder (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)Based on the reviews read here, we bought three of these to contain a special subset of our main collection, which is housed in several large zippered binders made by Targus and CaseLogic. Comparing the two system concepts -- looseleaf book style vs. zipped binders -- we came to these conclusions:
* Zipped binders provide considerably more dust protection than the bookshelf binders.
* Looseleaf book-style binders afford greater flexibility in moving discs from one place in a volume to another than do zippered binders lacking removable page capability.
* Zipped binders with handles offer easier portability, even if only from room to room.
* These particular looseleaf book-style binders don't seem to be as well made as we expected; on receipt, the paper glued to inside the front cover of one was already beginning to detach. They do, however, offer convenient spine slots for labeling contents.
* Most seriously, these binders don't come with enough inserts to fill them out sufficiently; we found that the inserts from three binders barely fill two, leaving one empty binder and the need to buy additional inserts.
Tip: if you opt for this style (and are willing to accept the dust vulnerability), buy fewer binders but more inserts (sold separately at Large CD/DVD Binder Insert Pages). A filled binder will stand better on shelves and fill out the space between volumes from back to front.
This is a costly solution to the CD/DVD storage solution that looks better, I think, than it works. We'll keep the ones we have, and buy more inserts, but return to our former practice of using zippered, large-capacity, bookshelf-sized binders.

Full Size Cherry Platform Bed and Bookcase Headboard Review

(More customer reviews)I bought the complete bedroom set of this PrePac bedroom furniture. Be wary of any product from Prepac.
The laminate on this junk is so thin it flakes at the slightest bump. I've worn nail polish that has lasted longer than this stuff. The company did pack a marker to "detail" the chips and cracks in the laminate, but there were so many nicks and chips and cracks already on the stuff when I unpacked it that the marker was not enough to cover them. The marker was also a darker color than the laminate, very noticeable on the longer cracks. On the head and foot piece to the bed bottom the laminate was buckled and torn all the way across the flatter viewable side. You could see machine track marks from the factory on other pieces. Several pieces were outright smashed on the corners. This was obvious damage done at the factory as the boxes it was shipped in were in perfect shape.
The directions to assemble this furniture are written well enough, but the pieces are not labeled to match the directions. You have to guess which piece of actual wood the picture is refering to. This was a nightmare for the bed. The packaged hardware was also missing vital hardware - a couple cam locks and one whole set of screws and wing nuts necessary for stabilizing the bedframe.
Calling Prepac for replacement parts was a nightmare and, as of the writing of this note, I still have not gotten them to send me anything - not even a wingnut. I got the run-around all three times I called.
DON"T BUY THIS CRAP!!!!!!!

59" x 31" Bookcase by Legare - Natural Wood (BCEM-120) Review

I bought a Legare 48 inch straight desk last year and now added this bookshelf - both in Espresso finish. Legare furniture is very durable and I'm expecting to get quite a few years of good use out of my desk and this bookshelf. The desk and the shelf match PERFECTLY.
The bookshelf comes very solidly packaged in the manufacturer's packaging. If you can, open this OUTSIDE, or in the garage. Both my desk and this bookshelf covered my apartment in styrofoam.
This is a solid piece of furniture, comes with a neat little "hook to the wall" system, which I haven't tried/installed, but I'm glad they considered such a feature.
Like all Legare furniture this is VERY easy to assemble. From lugging the box into my apartment to wiping down the assembled bookshelf totalled 20 minutes (and that included cleaning up the styrofoam onslaught).
Overall, a great shelf. Can be disassembled and reassembled many times without losing integrity or sturdiness.
