(More customer reviews)I first got one of these nifty little storage units for my room. Once my roommate saw it he just had to get one for himself (he's a big eco buff). So we have a Red and Orange duo standing right next to each other.
I couldn't believe how strong and durable the zBoards from Way Basics are! I have stored everything from my gym shoes, heavy textbooks, CD's, DVD's, even Vinyl. Assembly was a cinch; I didn't even need the instruction guide! Can you say that for Ikea furniture?
My initial concern was the 3M industrial strength double-sided tape. However the way the pieces are constructed, the zBoards are essentially supporting themselves with the horizontal zBoards resting on the vertical zBoards. The tape is super sticky and holds the boards together incredibly well. I guess if they use tape in airplanes, they can use it in furniture, genius!
The bottom line: it's eco, it's colorful, the price you can't beat and assembly was as easy as 1, 2, 3. Way Basics is Way cool!

Carson 3-Shelf Bookcase - Espresso Review

(More customer reviews)This bookcase took me a couple of hours to put together. I had to take it apart several times mid-construction due to having boards placed in wrong direction. (NOTE**read directions carefully). Bookcase pairs nicely with other pieces from this collection. We ordered the the 5 shelf version, the 3 shelf version as well as the 2 shelf version and placed them side by side for a library affect. The design and style is reminiscent of Arts & Crafts and Mission Style Furniture and appears much more expensive than actual cost of less than $100.

4D Concepts Hanging Corner Storage Review

(More customer reviews)I bought these because the color complimented my desk and provided a unique design that was definitely a step away from the norm. Assembly was a breeze not taking more than 15-20 minutes with a simple phillips-head screwdriver. It does help to have a friend when attaching to the wall. The design of these shelves help accent any knickknack, book, plant, or whatever on these shelves. If I had to give a fault I'd say the stickers it came with to help cover the screw holes tend to peel off along the edges and I find myself constantly reapplying pressure around their edges.
Definitely a great value for a unique design at a decent price.

(More customer reviews)I have never bought furniture online but the price tag lured me to do so. I got the material shipped [free shipping] earlier than it was supposed to be shipped. The assembly was pretty straight forward and took less than 30 minutes to get it up.
It is much lighter than I thought it would be. It is very easy to move it from one place to another without any load. It definitely saves a lot of space and we use it to stack all my study material. Once you load it with your books, you have to take out the books to move the rack around.
I have a lot of books and hence I was a bit afraid to load it up and test the strength of the shelves. I tested it with a dozen big books on the lowermost shelf and it seems to hold it pretty well so far.
If you are looking for something less heavier to hold, for instance flowers or if you intend to use this in the kitchen, try
[...]- My neighbors use this in the living room and they just have pictures and some art.
Good value for the price, I rate it a perfect 5!

Winsome Wood Foldable 4-Tier Shelf, Natural Review

(More customer reviews)I bought two of these shelves and am very pleased with them. They are attractive and sturdy, and the folding action works smoothly.
The packaging shows care -- the shelves are individually wrapped to avoid any nicks during shipping and the small hardware is in its own box with a very clear inventory so that you can check that you have everything before you get started. There's a part replacement order form in case anything is left out of your shipment, but both of mine were complete. (These might seem like obvious precautions, but I've ordered lots of assemble-yourself furniture that wasn't nearly so well thought-out.)
Assembly is not too hard. The instructions suggest that you might want an extra pair of hands, but I found that if I leaned the side piece against the wall while I was installing cross-bars, I could put together the whole thing by myself with no tools or materials other than the ones included (and I am not an especially handy person). After the previous review, I was worried that the pieces might not be made precisely enough to fit together well, but I didn't have too much trouble there; following the directions and tightening the screws gradually I was able to get the whole thing to come together snugly.
I've loaded the finished shelves up with books (including some pretty heavy dictionaries and art books) and they're showing no bending or strain. I may buy more of these for other rooms.

(More customer reviews)Maybe I didn't read the description correctly or maybe it just wasn't listed, but when this bookcase arrived - it was MUCH smaller and narrower than I had envisioned.
That said, I was very impressed with the quality of it and the way it folds neatly when not in use.
If you're looking to use this for actual storage of books and documents (about 80 hardcover books)- keep looking, but if you're looking for something decorative to display decorative little things and photo albums (about 8 albums per shelf) - this is perfect.

I was charge over $30 for shipping and it took more than 30 days to arrive! I could have built my own shelf with that cheap material in the same time. The list price info says you save over $300. That has to got to be a misprint. Because its not worth that amount and I soon found out all sales are final, including rip offs!"

Also the 2 front legs have to be screwed on, not a tight fit and I am concerned how they will hold up if the unit gets moved around. Pretty easy to put together, and it looks good for the price.

Also, it was on sale on the Friday specials, so the price was very reasonable. I am so glad I purchased this item as it is fantastic! Very well built, does not wobble at all, the finish on it is beautiful with no flaws - a nice espresso dark color. I even bought the two baskets that fit on the bottom shelf, and it makes for a beautiful bookshelf unit. Don't hesitate to purchase it if you are looking for a small bookcase for a small area. You will be very happy with how well built this book case is.

The materials appear to be of good quality (not particle board), and the assembly was very easy (though time-consuming to screw all of those little screws into the back). It is a very sturdy piece and does not wobble or wiggle. One of the legs had a little piece of wood chipped out of it when it arrived, but it is in the back, so I didn't really care. I give it a 5 star rating, because it is very good quality for the price (~$110). I think one would be hard-pressed to find a better deal online.

Note that the given dimensions, (11.34" deep, 13.4" wide and 12.6" tall), are the outside measurements. The horizontal boards are 5/8" thick, and the vertical boards are 7/8" thick, so the interior space is 11.34" deep, 11.65" wide and 11.35" tall. So if you're using this as a little bookcase, it's too short to accomodate standard ring binders. Get the Cube "Plus", which is 13.75" tall inside.

Maple 48" High Four Shelf Bookcase Review

I sheared off a couple putting text books in my class and have since been to the hardware store for metal posts (rated at 25 lbs per).
